Places to Visit

Visitors to FarmCoast New England will find rural and picturesque landscapes that seem unchanged by time. Stone walls and fields roll down to the salt marshes and bays. Whether you are interested in walking, hiking, beachcombing, birding, bicycling, boating, kayaking, or touring by automobile, there will be many areas to visit in the towns of Tiverton, Little Compton, Westport, and Dartmouth.

Both through private and public action, there are numerous Open Space Areas and Nature Preserves listed below with walking trails. As you travel through the area, you will also discover many historic houses and buildings some of which are open to the public.
